Goodwin Hospice Academy Editorial Team

Editorial group

The Goodwin Hospice Academy Editorial Team is the group behind every article, definition, tool, and learning path on this site. We’re hospice practitioners, educators, clinical leaders, and instructional designers — the same people who staff Goodwin Living’s hospice teams and train new clinicians into the specialty.

Our editorial standard is simple:

  • Cite everything. Every regulatory statement links to CMS, the Federal Register, 42 CFR, or a Medicare Administrative Contractor LCD. Every clinical claim links to a peer-reviewed source or a recognized hospice body (NHPCO, HPCC, CAPC, VitalTalk, Ariadne Labs).
  • No CE inflation. We never present educational content as CE credit unless a CE-accredited partnership is documented for that specific piece.
  • Published + reviewed dates on every article. If a page has been reviewed in the last 6 months, you’ll see the exact date at the top.
  • Hospice practitioners in the loop. Every clinical or regulatory article passes a working hospice clinician’s review before publication. As the editorial board grows into named contributors, their bylines will appear individually.

Transparency & disclosures

Editorial independence. Content decisions are made by the editorial team, not by sales or marketing. Where content mentions the Goodwin Hospice Academy platform, it’s clearly labeled as a product reference.

Reviewer transparency. Individual named clinical reviewers are being added to the editorial board through 2026. Where an article has been reviewed by a named clinician with credentials, that reviewer appears in the byline strip. Where a named reviewer isn’t yet attached, the article shows the editorial team byline — and we’re open about that. If you’re a hospice clinician interested in joining the review board, see Clinical Advisory.

Educational only. Nothing on this site is medical, legal, or regulatory advice. Always defer to your organization’s policies, your medical director’s judgment, and current CMS guidance.
